Oh, Risley? Here's a Wacky Pack for You

I do think the whole"Miniature Golf Hole" idea for your leg was a good one, and since I have designed them in the past please don't tempt me to do one in your honor. (LOL) Hope you are healing up Monkey :)

One of the BEST Gifts of My Holiday :)

This year one of my very best holiday gifts came from the most unlikely of sources. (LOL) Not that Crystal (Pictured here showing me her new basketball enhanced muscles) isn't a gift anytime I see her :) But this year it was the gift she chose for me that made me squeal with glee. This year, under the tree I found new edition "Wacky Packs" as a gift from Crystal. I have written many times before that when I was a child these stickers were fascinating to me, and I had everything in sight plastered with Wacky Pack stickers. The whole concept of making fun of everyday household products really thrilled me then, and I have said many times it was perhaps one of the greatest influences on my work as an adult. I am, as an artist, but an ode to the lowly Wacky Pack.
As all good ideas do, this one has cycled back through life, and Crystal discovered Wacky Packs this year herself. And in doing so, thought I might like them as well. Of course, like chocolate covered cherries, this gift was meant to be shared (LOL) as she was busily collecting series four herself and looked forward to the "extra" stickers in my packs. She had no idea this product had ever been produced before, or even that I had loved and collected them when I was her age. And that was the best part of this gift. Knowing the "Neice " apple doesn't fall far from the "Aunt" tree, and that we actually instincutally recognize the person at the core of the other. :)

Just When you thought I Was Gone For Good (LOL)

OK, I am making an effort today. Life travels in such lightening speed during the Holidays (especially traveling and being out of pocket as much as I was) for me I swear I didn't have a minute to really think and blog, and I missed it. This was my hardest Christmas on record, as I started it in a bad frame of mind (over my car) and never really got it together as I normally would. I also felt like taking a little Internet "break" to deal with my own overcrowded plate, but now life has resumed and it is onward and hopefully upward from here. The trials and tribulations of an artist in this age.
Still not smoking. For those counting that would be 166 days. As stressful as my holidays were this year it was a lot of work not to just grab a pack and go. But I am determined, and those of you that know me personally know how I get in that state.(LOL) I did not reach my goal of weaning myself off the Commit nicotine lozenges by Jan. 1st, 2007 but I am close, as I did go to the lower dose and keep consistently at about 8 tabs a day. Have several sets of pictures and a few fun stories around the holidays to share over the next few days, and I thank all my friends that read here for their patience with me in this regard. I haven't given up my blog, just out experiencing a little life to write about. :)
